Taxis and minivans are widely available on the island and standard taxi fares exist from both airports.
Taxi and minivans are designated by *HA or *H (* Means ‘hire’) on the license plates and are insured and are readily available at the airports.
 
The public transport system consists of a private minibus service between Roseau and the rest of Dominica.
Fares, which became effective from February 2003, range from EC$1.50 to EC$10.25.
In Roseau buses depart from designated areas at the Old Market Plaza and between the West and East Bridge.
